This summer, our library is proud to participate in the “Reading Is a Gift” Readathon, a county-wide initiative led by Mercer County Better Together (MCBT).

Families are invited to sign up, track their reading, and collect donations to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library — a program that provides free monthly books to children five and under.

At any given time, around 400 Mercer County children are enrolled! Each $25 raised helps provide one child with books for an entire year.

Join us as we celebrate reading this summer, while helping ensure every child continues receiving this incredible gift.

July 1: Sign-ups open! Pick up a pledge tracker at the library and start collecting per-page pledges or flat donations from friends and family.

July 13: The readathon begins! Grab your reading log and start reading. Sign-ups, pledges, and donations remain open throughout the event.
